To improve the characteristics, double-click on RMZLPF then "Change Parameters" -> "Quantize Coefficients" and change "bits" to 20.


If you open a monitor for it, you see the reduction ratio has improved to -95dB.


If you open FFTMON (U_12). The peak of 21550Hz is hidden under the quantization noise. This signal quality is good enough for 16bit system.


That's it for this class. When you make digital filters in hardware, please think of how many bits the signals are quantized by. In the case of 16bits, digital filters' coefficients need about 20bits.
